This rack MODEL includes the standard bike rack, drop down wheel and can be used with or without the Hitch receiver swing out arm on class B motorhomes only. Swing arms are (not supplied, sold, or guaranteed by us) Please read your swing arm restrictions before using them. You need to purchase the swing out arm separately, we do not manufacture or sell this third party equipment.
FOR USE WITH YOUR HEAVY DUTY SWING ARM
Most all third party swing arms and extra connections do cause some movement of the rack and it is not the Rack flexing.. 1/4" cord or non stretchable strap can be added from the top door hinges, or camper Jack Posts, to the rack eyebolts to help reduce any swing arm Flex or play located in swing arms when traveling. (See Photos shown.) Rear Backup cameras amplify visual movement that is actually occurring due to the camera lens being only a few inches from the rack. You can make your own decision whether to use a swing arm or not. Be sure your RV hitch is at least a minimum class four 500lb Tongue weight capacity and strong enough to hold your total weight. Swing ARMS are NOT recommended for Fifth wheels however our Yakups brand racks alone are fine on most fifth wheels..

This is commonly used with Van style RV's with rear doors or truck campers that need to open rear doors. The model KR2B56 rack model shown carries kayaks or surfboards that are a maximum of 32" wide & less than 40lbs each. Kayaks should not over 10 1/2' long . With the bike rack option added and two 50lb bikes = 200lbs of cargo (recommended) plus 118 lbs for rack weight = 318lbs total so you do not overload the hitch swing out mechanism you choose. We do offer and include a drop down wheel option ( 15lbs) on the accessory page as shown in video for security when opening your rack. (this is an option however we recommend it so you do not over stress your swing arm when opening the swing arm.) RVKR development LLC is not responsible for third party equipment for any reason.

Photos displayed show 9' - 10' 4" long kayaks which are recommended length.. The drop down wheel is recommended and simply pivots down to pavement and provides additional support to the rack weight when you open a swing arm. Due to Swing arm manufacturers varying loads & construction we cannot recommend a particular swing arm unit. The video has a Hitch swing tm arm on the RV. It is the customers choice and not our recommendation whether to use any or a certain third party swing arm.
Two bikes about 30 lbs each can be carried with the optional bike rack added to the rack. If you carry heavier bikes you MUST be sure your Hitch and swing arm will hold the weight. There are swing out arm attachment options commercially available. If either bike has rear fenders you need to add Rear Fender protector blocks to your order on accessory page.
